Indiana Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton urges single bracket for NCAA March Madness tournaments

Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton, a former Iowa State Cyclones player, has advised basketball fans to submit only one bracket for the NCAA Division I men's and women's tournaments.
Haliburton posted on X: "Make one bracket and stand on it."[1] Speaking to Fox News Digital, the guard explained his view while promoting his partnership with Reese's March Madness Bracket Busting Campaign.
"I think it’s just so lame that people are like, ‘Oh, I made this many brackets.’ Like, dang, how many brackets do you get? ... As a society, this is not how the cookie crumbles. You have to make one choice and stand on it," Haliburton said.[1]
Haliburton, who played for Iowa State in the 2019-20 season and averaged 15.2 points and 5.9 assists per game,[2][3] said he selected his alma mater to win the national championship in his bracket. The Cyclones compete in the Big 12 Conference.[4]
He acknowledged some fans' approach of one optimistic bracket for their school and one realistic version but insisted on committing to a single entry. Haliburton described Iowa State as battle-tested in the Big 12, which he called the best conference in college basketball.
Reese's campaign encourages fans to share busted brackets on social media -- tagging @Reeses and using #ForAReesesSweeps -- for chances to win free products and tickets to the men's or women's Final Four and championships.[1] "If it’s going to bust, might as well win something out of it," Haliburton said.
Haliburton joined New York Liberty's Breanna Stewart, analysts Richard Jefferson and Andraya Carter for a Bracket Summit to share picks.
